PowerPoint can sometimes insert a blank slide at the end of a presentation and we can deactivate this in the Options ribbon.

To deactivate this, click on File and then Options, select the Advanced category and then scroll down until you see the option to switch off the blank slide:

Next time we run a slideshow it will now end on the last slide and not a black one.

The settings in this screen cover a wide range of options but best check with IT if it's ok to change some of them as it may affect your application and its settings should only be changed if you know what will be changed and any future consequences that may occur. Most calls to IT Support are a result of the user changing settings from the standard options causing other issues that weren't as easy to identify.
