The Benefits of Microsoft Exchange Server Certification
The successful completion of Microsoft's established certification tracks is the de facto path for organizations as well as individuals, and Exchange Server is no exception.
For individuals, the benefits of enhanced career paths and higher salaries are well known, and for organizations, the benefits from having employees with proven skills, trained and tested through an independent and authorised programme, are immeasurable.
The Route to Exchange Server Certification
Certification is in two stages: an initial certification in Office 365, which earns an MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate), followed by full MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) accreditation.
MCSA: Office 365
The MCSA: Office 365 certification provides skills in transitioning to and administering cloud-hosted business applications using Office 365.
Earning this certification qualifies you for a role as a 'Software as a Service' (SaaS) administrator. It is also a qualification for a cloud applications administrator who manages Office 365 business applications like Exchange, SharePoint and Lync.
There are two steps in achieving this qualification:
- Course 20346*, Exam 346: Managing Office 365 Identities and Requirements
- Course 20346*, Exam 347: Enabling Office 365 Services
*NOTE: Course 20346 covers you for both exams.
MCSE: Messaging
This certification provides and validates skills in several key areas for any organization: to move a company to the cloud, increase user productivity and flexibility, reduce data loss, and improve data security.
The MCSE: Messaging certification is a solid foundation for a position in network and computer systems administration.
